The Dog Park is located at 830 Main Street Ext. just beyond the tennis courts and off of the walking trail at the Swansboro Municipal Park. This is the only area in the Municipal Park where dogs are allowed off-leash. The half-acre dog park features an enclosed area for dogs to run and play, benches for owners to relax, and a bag station. Registration is required with the Parks and Recreation Department in order to utilize the dog park.
Note:
Once you are there, keep your dog leashed as you come up the walkway. No more than three dogs per adult, please. Waste bags are provided so please grab one or two; you will need them!
Pay attention to your pup. If your dog is not calm enough to enter or if you wanted to finish your lunch first, please feel free to hang out at our picnic area. Make sure to leave any toys or treats behind as they are not permitted in the fenced area.
